La gonna “importante” è una mia debolezza! Non posso rinunciare a farne una nuova ogni anno e non riesco a resistere ai damascati luccicanti!

The “key” skirt is my weakness! Every year I have to make a new one, and I can’t resist to the shiny damask fabrics!

Mi piace usarle “sportive” anche se a vedere le gonne, pensarle “sportive” sembra un po’ improbabile!

I like to wear them “sporty” even if it seems unsuitable/awkard  to imagine a skirt in a sporty version!

Solitamente scelgo i faldoni, altre volte un semplice elastico: un buon tessuto non ha bisogno di complicati cartamodelli per una buona resa.

Stavolta ho cambiato cartamodello!

Usually I chose the folders, other times a simple elastic band: a good fabric does not need complicated patterns for a good outcome.

This time I changed the pattern!

Ho deciso di dedicare un pomeriggio a sfogliare il mio archivio riviste alla ricerca di un cartamodello nuovo! Ho trovato il numero di Febbraio de “La mia Boutique” , praticamente intatto, acquistato in un periodo in cui lavoravo troppo anche solo per sfogliarlo !

La vita alta effetto corsetto mi ha fatto subito decidere di provare!

I decided to spend an afternoon by browsing my magazine’s archive to look for a new pattern! I found the February issue of “La mia Boutique”, pretty much new, bought in a period when I worked so much to even open it !

The high waist corset effect immediately convinced me to try!

Ho fatto un primo collaudo con uno scampolo: deve vestire perfettamente per dare  il giusto effetto e oltretutto io volevo usare un tessuto rigido.

Superato il collaudo per verificare la taglia, mi sono lanciata al taglio delle mie coccinelle!

I did a first test with a remnant: it must perfectly fit, to give the right effect and, moreover, I wanted to use a rigid fabric.

After passing the test to check the size, I started to cut my ladybugs!

Mi sono concessa un minuto di raccoglimento per decidere se era il caso di “esagerare” provando a fare anche le tasche  e ho deciso per il sì.

Ho cucito il davanti della gonna con il davanti della tasca e il dietro con il dietro della tasca e poi ho cucito tutto insieme.

I took sometime (but just a minute…) to decide if I should exaggerate by adding the pockets and, yes…I did it!

I sewed the front of the skirt with the front of the pocket and the back with the back of the pocket, then I sewed everything together.

Ho cucito il bordo sopra e l’orlo sotto e la gonna era finita.

I sewed the edge at the top and the hem at the bottom: that’s all…the skirt was finished!

A questo punto avevo un unico grande “problema”  …. Le coccinelle su fondo blu avevamo bisogno di un giusto abbinamento: avevo un pezzo di pelliccia ecologica del giusto colore, quindi ho deciso di usare il mio cartamodello collaudato (La pelliccia ecologica 2 ) .

At this point I had just one big “problem” …. The ladybugs on a blue background needed a right match: I had a piece of ecological fur of the right color, so I decided to use my tested pattern (The ecological fur 2).

Ho aggiunto un elastico sotto per farlo stare piu corto e aderente e lasciato la manica corta per abbinare un manicotto.

I added an elastic at the bottom to let it fitting “shorter” and tight and I made the short sleeves to match with the long gloves.

Tanto per confermare che io faccio anche la spesa al supermercato vestita cosi! Just to confirm that I also do the shopping at the supermarket dressed like this!

Sotto c’è la mia t-shirt!!! Sì….mia!! Ma la collezione realizzata con i miei disegni ve la mostro la prossima volta!
