Today I decided that I tell you about my experience.
Bangkok è una strana città; porta con se il fascino di una metropoli, mentre nasconde pezzi della sua storia tra i grattacieli .
Quando stavamo scegliendo l’albergo ho letto una recensione che parlava di un hotel moderno posizionato “fuori contesto” in una strada “malandata”, non capivo cosa significasse, ma poi ho capito che sta proprio qui il fascino di questa città!
Bangkok is a strange city; it has the metropolis charm, while it hides pieces of its history among the skyscrapers .
When we were choosing the hotel I read a review talking about a modern hotel positioned “out of context” in a “shabby” street, I did not understand what it meant, but then I realized that the charm of this city is exactly this!
E’ soprattutto percorrendo il fiume che si può capire appieno il senso: in una riva svettano grattacieli e alberghi di lusso, mentre sulla riva opposta la gente di “paese” vive la sua vita di sempre nelle palafitte sull’acqua. Una città di contrasti e contraddizioni, che offre il mercato galleggiante sul fiume di fronte al centro commerciale “futurista” (e non a caso le guide consigliano di visitarli entrambi!).
And especially along the river you can fully understand the meaning: skyscrapers and luxury hotels stand out on the side, while on the opposite side the “village people” live their lifes in stilts on the water. A city of contrasts and contradictions, which offers the floating market on the river in front of the “Futurist” shopping center (and it is not a coincidence that the guides advise to visit both!).
Se vi capita di andare a Bangkok organizzatevi con una valigia mezza vuota. Soprattutto per chi ama i tessuti qui si trova di tutto a prezzi piu che abbordabili!
Ecco i miei acquisti… ben poca cosa rispetto a quello che avrei voluto, ma sono soddisfatta!
If you happen to go to Bangkok, get organized with a half-empty suitcase. Especially for those who love fabrics, here everything is really cheap!
Here my purchases … very little compared to what I’ like, but I’m satisfied!
Le isole del sud sono un sogno di insenature tra spiagge e mare azzurro. Ho sofferto un po’ il sole e, con caparbietà, ho difeso il mio pallore, ma non si può non restarne affascinati.
Mi mancheranno i tramonti infuocati e le cene in spiaggia con i piedi nella sabbia….
The islands in the south are a dream of bays between beaches and blue sea. I suffered a bit of sun and, with stubbornness, I defended my pallor, but we cannot avoid to be fascinated.
I will miss the burning sunsets and dinners on the beach with my feet in the sand ….
Vi ho fatto sognare un po’? Vi ho messo un po’ di voglia di fare le valigie???
Ok adesso torniamo al senso del blog …

Ok now let’s go back to the meaning of the blog …
Mine is not a travel blog, so my today’s purpose is to show you what I’ve packed.
La mia valigia non è mai stata tanto handmade come per questo viaggio e come al solito ho portato un bel po’ di cose inutili…tipo un giubbino jeans, (quando in spiaggia si poteva cenare a spalle nude) e un sandalo elegante (infradito da spiaggia tutta la vita!!!!).
Non mi sono posta molto il problema di abitini per la sera, il mio problema era cosa mettere per la spiaggia …. avendo una “certa” e non essendo fisicata, volevo essere “coperta” senza pero sembrare mia nonna… impresa non facilissima!
My suitcase has never been so handmade as for this trip and, as usual, I brought a lot of useless things .. like a denim jacket (when you could have dinner at the beach with naked shoulders) and an elegant sandal (flip flops beach ever!!!!).
I did not thing too much about the dresses for the evening: my problem was what to wear on the beach …. having “an age” and not being physically, I wanted to be “covered” without seeming my grandmother … not a very easy task!
Ho risolto con il cartamodello del pantalone palazzo rivisto in un paio di versioni.
Vi mostro le foto di entrambi ma la versione in rouges ve la spiegherò piu verso l’estate.
Oggi vi mostro meglio la versione facile da cucire e da indossare.
Il cartamodello è lo stesso che ho usato per Un pantalone per l’estate.
Stavolta ho tenuto piu largo il punto vita e ho cucito sui fianchi una cintura da annodare con fiocco sul davanti.
Ho messo da parte un panno morbido per provarne una versione invernale … vi terrò aggiornate …
I solved with the pattern of the Palazzo pants in a couple of versions. I show you the photos of both but I’ll explain the version in rouges later towards the summer.
Today I show you the version “easy to sew and wear”.
The pattern is the same I used in the The summer pants .
This time I kept the waistline wider and I sewed a belt on the sides with a bow on the front.
I put aside a soft cloth to try a winter version … I’ll keep you updated …

Qui mi vedete con il coprispalle ma solo per il luogo sacro…c’erano 30 gradi all’ombra!

Mentre tra le cose che vi mostrerò piu avanti c’è questa giacca copricostume che rifaro’ in altre versioni e che ho adorato indossare in spiaggia con le danze del vento!!!
While among the things that I will show you later there is this jacket that I’ll do again in other versions and that I loved wearing on the beach with the wind dances !!!
