Colori per l’autunno – Colors for the autumn

Con la mente proiettata all’inverno e all’arrivo del freddo con nevicate incluse, ho iniziato con la mia solita ossessione per i capispalla. Soprattutto da quando tengo il blog, e documento quello che realizzo, mi sono resa conto che durante l’inverno mi faccio prendere dalla cappotto mania!

With my mind throw to the winter and the coming of the cold with snowfall included, I started with my usual obsession with outerwear. Especially since I have the blog, and I document what I make, I realized that in the winter I get caught in the coat mania!

Prima ancora di partire con i “progetti”, fin dall’acquisto dei tessuti, mi cade occhio, mano e portafogli sui panni di lana e le pellicce ecologiche. Adesso, appena finito il cambio armadio, rimane evidente che ho tipo 20 cappotti e 2 paia di pantaloni, una proporzione a cui dovrò rimediare!

Ma sarà per un’altra volta!

Even before starting with the “projects”, since the purchase of fabrics, I throw the eye, the hand and the wallet on woolen clothes and ecological furs. Now, as soon as I change the wardrobe, it is clear that I have 20 coats and 2 pairs of trousers, a proportion to which I will have to remedy!

But it will be for another time!

Il passaggio dai capi estivi colorati a quelli scuri invernali mi ha fatto venire voglia di darmi una bella botta di colore.  Quando mi vesto troppo scura mi incupisco anche di umore…

The transition from colorful summer items to the dark winter ones, gave me the will of a nice blow of colors. When I get dressed too dark I even darken in the mood …

Per questo panno colorato ho scelto il modello di giacchina n.39 de “La mia Boutique” di novembre. E’ un modello “Plus Size” perciò ho tagliato una 46, la taglia più piccola, senza calcolare i margini di cucitura e, quando ho cucito la martingala, l’ho stretta più di quanto previsto nel cartamodello. Il risultato è che dietro fa un po’ di arricciatura! Troppo carina!

For this colored cloth I chose the model of the jacket n. 39 of “La mia Boutique” in November. It is a “Plus Size” model so I cut a 46, the smallest size, without calculating the seam allowances and, when I sewed the martingale, I tightened it more than expected in the paper pattern. The result is a little curling on the back! Too cute!

Per la finitura dei bordi ho scelto la mia croce/delizia : lo sbieco. Ne avevo giusto uno rosa che si intonava perfettamente con la tonalità del panno. L’effetto è di un sottile bordo in raso dal colore acceso: perfetto!

For the finishing of the edges I chose my cross/delight: the bias tape. I just had a rose one that matched perfectly with the shade of the cloth. The effect is a thin satin edge with a bright color: perfect!

Restavano da scegliere i bottoni per la martingala ma avevo già un’idea precisa su cosa avrei usato.

Ho recuperato quest bottoni in fimo a forma di rosa tra i miei esperimenti abbandonati in un cassetto. Li ho realizzato con una stampo in silicone, lucidati con un pennello appena sporco di resina ultra lucida e ho fatto i fori con il trapanino a punta sottile. Sono viola con brillantini e lucidi: perfetti.

The buttons for the martingale were still to be chosen but I had already a precise idea of what I would have used.

I recovered these polymer clay roses buttons in my experiments abandoned in a drawer. I made them with a silicone mold, polished with a brush just soiled with ultra-glossy resin and I drilled the holes with a thin-headed drill. They are purple with shiny: perfect.

Per chiudere il davanti ho scelto  un bottone a pressione di media grandezza. Ne ho messo solo uno sulla parte superiore abbastanza rientrante in  modo da mantenere chiusa anche la parte sotto.

To close the front I chose a medium-sized pression button. I put only one on the top that is enough re-entrant to keep the bottom part closed too.

Durante l’inverno la userò come giacchina sotto un cappotto ma ieri la temperatura mi permetteva ancora di usarlo come giacca, cosi ho infilato sotto un giubbino in jeans, un’abbinata che trovo ideale!

In the winter I will use it as a jacket under a coat but yesterday the temperature still allowed me to use it as a jacket, so I slipped under a denim jacket , an ideal combination!
