La giacca “vestito” – The “dress” jacket

Mi piacciono le giacche che ti “vestono”.

I like the jacket that “wear” you.

Dopo giorni di pioggia e cappotti finalmente un’ondata di caldo e abiti estivi, e io mi sono subito messa in “modalità primavera”!

After rainy days and coats finally hot weather and summer clothes, and I immediately put myself in “spring mode”!

Passo mezz’ore davanti al mio armadio a guardare l’infinto, e nelle stagioni intermedie le mezz’ore diventano ore! Cosa mi serve?? Qualcosa di vagamente sportivo che mantenga il mio stile.

I spend half an hours in front of my closet looking at the infinite, and in the intermediate seasons the half an hours become hours! What do I need?? Something vaguely sporty that maintains my style.

Quando mi metto a inventarmi queste cose ho le  mie paranoie, poi decido, taglio e via. Nel peggiore dei casi c’è sempre il cassonetto,  soprattutto se hai usato uno scampolino di 5€.

When I start to invent these things I have my paranoia, then I decide, I cut and go. In theworst case there is always the dumpster, especially if you have used a 5€ fabric.

Avevo bene in mente la forma che volevo, cosi ho tagliato davanti e dietro come una giacca kimono e l’ho unita a una gonna a ruota.

I had clear in my mind the shape that I wanted, so I cut front and backside as a kimono jacket and I joined it with a round skirt.

Non è la prima volta che faccio questi esperimenti… una cosa simile l’avevo già fatta con  Papaveri VS Spighe

It is not the first time I do these experiments … a similar thing I had already made with   Poppies VS Spikes

Poi ho segnato il punto vita con un elastico alto 10cm, che ho usato come coulisse per la cintura.

Then I marked the waist line with an elastic band 10cm high, that I used as drawstring  for the belt.

 

Mi piaceva l’idea del jeans gessato per questa giacca, ma poi troppe righe mi hanno fatto venir voglia di interromperle con due fiorellini e una farfalla.

I liked the idea of pinstripe jeans  for this jacket, but then I decide to interrupt so many lines with two little flowers and a butterfly.

Ho usato uno stabilizzatore idrosolubile per avere un ricamo bello su entrambi i lati.

I used a water-soluble stabilizer to have a nice embroidery on both sides.

Indossarlo mi fa sentire l’aria di primavera. Non la sentite anche voi?
