Un soffio d’Oriente – Oriental flavor

Voglia di un tocco d’oriente?? Il tessuto giusto e il cartamodello si sceglie da se.

Credo sia la terza volta che mi preparo un abito su questo cartamodello, e stavolta il tessuto mi ha ispirato!

I think it’s the third time I prepare a suit on this pattern, and this time the fabric has inspired me!

In un numero ereditato de La mia Boutique, anno 2000, ho trovato il cartamodello  di una casacca cinese;  l’ho allungato per arrivare alla lunghezza di un abito. Purtroppo avevo solo 1m di questa meravigliosa stoffa così ho usato un tessuto strech rosa per foderare,  fare il colletto e una fascia laterale per far posto alla mia mole.

In a number of My Boutique 2000, I found the pattern of a Chinese jacket; I made it longer to reach the length of a dress. Unfortunately I had only 1m of this wonderful fabric so I used a pink stretch fabric for the lining, the collar and a lateral band to fit to my size.

Ho unito tessuto e fodera cucendo gli incavi delle maniche e il fondo con gli spacchi.

Ho tagliato su fodera e tessuto e poi cucito insieme  l’apertura del collo,

I put fabric and lining together by sewing the sleeves and the bottom with slits.
I cut out the lining and fabric and then sewed along the neck opening,

Ho segnato e cucito le pence sulla fodera e sull’abito e unito i fianchi mettendo una lampo di 22cm sul lato sinistro.

I marked and sewed the darts on the lining and on the dress and joined the hips by putting a 22cm zipper on the left side.

Infine il colletto:  cucendo  l’esterno con il tessuto, l’interno con la fodera e lasciando aperta la parte centrale ho potuto finire di cucirel’abito e poi girarlo.

 Finally the collar: sewing the fabric with the outside, the inside of the lining and leaving open the middle part I could finish sewing the dress and then shoot it.

Ad abito finito mi servivano le spille per chiudere il taglio sul collo e qualche accessorio. Ho scelto una pelle rosa da cui ho fustellato un po’ di fiocchi e un po’ di fiorellini.

Con gli ultimi pezzettini di tessuto ho provato un prodotto preso in fiera: una sorta di adesivo che si attacca al tessuto con il ferro da stiro e crea una pellicola. Con questi pezzettini di stoffa rivestiti di pellicola ho fustellato altri fiocchi; il vantaggio è che si può fustellare la stoffa senza sfilacciamenti.

At the end I needed pins to close the cut on the neck and few accessories. I chose a pink leather from which I punched few bows and flowers.
With the last pieces of fabric I used a product from the exhibition: a sort of adhesive that attaches to the fabric by ironing and creates a film. With these pieces of coated cloth I punched other flakes, so you can cut the fabric without fraying.

 

L’apertura dello scollo l’ho risolta usando due fiocchi in pelle e due in tessuto, il risultato è simpatico!

Avevo avanzato un fiocco, ma niente paura: un forellino e una monachella e anche l’orecchino pendat è fatto!

I solved the opening of the neckline by using two leather tassels and two fabric, the outcome is funny!
I had just a bow, but don’t worry: a small hole and a nun and also the pendant earring is done!

Manico

A questo punto gli avanzi di stoffa erano veramente poca roba, ma volevo la mia borsina! presi i rimasugli li ho rinforzati con il tessuto termoadesivo, cucito da dritto e rinforzato di nuovo con un altro strato di termoadesivo. Sono riuscita ad ottenere un fronte a cui ho aggiunto un retro in pelle e una fodera. Il manico è una strisciolina di tessuto con incollati dei fiorellini in pelle fustellati.

At this point the fabric  were really not much, but I wanted my little bag! I took the leftovers have reinforced them with thermo-adhesive fabric, sewn from straight and reinforced again with another thermo-adhesive fabric. I got a front,  I added a leather back and a liner. The handle is a strip of cloth with the leather flowers.

Con l’ultima striscia di pelle mi sono cucita una cintura per le occasioni in cui voglio rendere l’outfit più casual.

Ecco quindi il risultato finale

With the last strip of leather I sewed a belt for those occasions when I want a more casual outfit.
